Iranian Flag

During the Spring of 2008, Raha and Tiam conducted their own little “historical” experiment.

Asking about the Iranian flag as well as some of the most well known Iranians, who they are, what they do etc.

    Shir-o-khorshid is always going to be favoured.

    but you cant always ignore the present flag

    thou i know some people that even go to the lengths of only calling themselfs only”persian” and the country their from “Persia”

    never iranian or the country iran.

    its just unfavourable. due to the similaries to “iraq”

    Raha and Tiam you guys are amazing, i love when you guys are out at mehregan, 13bedar, or any huge persian gathering doing your questionnaires.

    Honestly though, ppl need to check wikipedia cause most of them answered the flag question wrong…then again most of them are prbly the fararies from iran during 1979 and are too stubborn to know reality.

    Kay misheh unity dar jaameh ma vojood dashtebaashe? Especially at iranian sporting events, i hate when in the crowd you see 3-4 different times of flags all cheering for iran. Keep politics aside AT LEAST during sport participation.

    good job guys, It was well thought off and well executerd.
    Hopefully this type of tiny segment will help our younger generation be aware of their heritage and use the knowledge for their better future.

    The best program you guys have made.

    It delivers a lot of messages:

    the most remembered personality was “Samad”, the guy who only brought laughter to Iranians

    Almost everyone disputed the Islamic Republic flag as the true national flag

    Our people know very little about their own country and its history.

    Those who claimed the flag of Iran is still Shir 0 Khorshid had excuse to not know Mosadegh because of their lack in History. Never knew KhalKhali is that much famous in Orange County! Doorood bar BEBIN.TV yeki az behtarin karatoon bod. + oon qadimie ke MAP of IRAN bod….

    Great job guys. so funny. Mashalah Iranihaie aziz maadane etelaataan, hichi nemidoonan o hamechi midoonan. I liked that everybody knows “Samad Agha”. In my opinion our flag should be The same color and format but in the middle should be Farvahar, not Allah cause we are not all Arab and not Shiro Khorshid because Shah left us all alone. But in fact studying about the origin of Shiro Khorshid, it is not the symbol of the former regym but it goes back to hundred years ago, which symbolizes Power.

    I just wanna say that Iranians are forgetting their own flag and they don’t even know Mohammad Mosadegh .This is a big shame on us.
    Please help to keep our selves as Persians and remember our reputations.

    Its not about being ignorant or being knowledgeable about the iranian history.

    The people in the usa as well as other parts of the world whom iranians have migrated to want to plainly integrate and be part of the present society without knowing in depth about the history.

    if for example if every youth in america knew every single detail about Xerxes and who he was

    imagine the response to the 300 movie that was created?

    I believe its about the person. whoever He/she wants to obtain the information that will explain there ancestors , fellow country men. Its overal based on them as individuals or their upbringing.

    i know the girls seem dumb , but bleakly they dont give two hoots about it.

    im not angrey. im just neutral.
