  mina jan it’s b/c european languages have the kh & gh & j like farsi but not english…….if u think mel & ladan have lahjeh u need to meet some of my cousins lol……i myself am thunderstruck @ how good raha’s farsi is b/c he is the one feeding all these fancy words to mel & ladan every week………on another point they gays in america over pronounce t & s and in farsi we do the same which could create problems for fob persians when they speak english………….

  I wanted to suggest this book for book of the week, too=) I was really surprised how many books exists about iranian themes. Now I collect every book about Iran. But unfortunately the books are most written in english, but for me german is easier to read..but there aren`t so many books in german…but they translate some of them..

  hmm..I think that these guys, like sadaf and journalists or other do the right thing…
  I think I would do it, too if it is really my passion even if I would get in trouble with the law…but as you ladan…I don`t know how far I would take it…but I admire these people like Nazanin Afshin Jam and other…you, too Ladan…who are origin Iranian…and speaks in public about problems and the human rights, etc to the people.
  It is really important. And it is even better if these people who operate for human rights, (the political themes many of you won`t like to mention, etc..) that they are popular. So the people will listen.

  on the topic of nazanin afshin jam(since some1 brought her up) i would like to say that she is an embarrassment, in fact when she currently spoke i felt embarrassed on her behalf. GOOD JOB NAZANIN, you sure are taking iran into the right path. Stick too looking good instead of being all talk. Not only that but she had the nerve to be interviewed by a man whose program is notorious for wanting to bomb iran and not even stick up for her country (the vid is on youtube).

  Also her whole story about her taking credit for saving nazanins life is bull…why? Because i with my own eyes saw the letters exchanged between an iranian (highly religious guy) in detroit with the superior judge of iran. Through ethics and “figh” he proved nazanins innocence so for this broad to come and act as if she was the main reason nazanin is free is by far pathetic and arrogant.

  Lastly, 30 years have passed since the 1979 revolution and we still have people living thousands of miles away preaching about human rights yet have not taked 1 SINGLE STEP towards a resolution. If afshinjam is so concerned she would be like shirin ebadi..out in the front lines.

  Her whole idealogy is retarded and will get iran no where..she is not even close to being the voice of iran. Iran needs to have open talks with the US, Iran needs to have open talks with the people of the US, etc. We dont need afshinjam and her disruptive emotions protesting as to why Ahmadinejad is coming to NYC. She hates the mullah regime because they live in the dark ages well her ideology is in the dark ages as well.

  I apologize for the long rant but people like her make it so hard for us iranians who are doing are best to get that positive image of iran back. Negativity is never a solution and unfortunately thats all we see nowadays from those who think they are taking a positive step.

  I got the greatest respect for the people who risk their own life in iran and speak out their mind.

  Ladan jan could you please use some titles, text-inserts or lower thirds for your presentations. It would help the viewers to search for more information than just buy listening.

  Honestly when I was in iran, I compromised with the gevernment and went with the flow, I didn’t protest against stollen so called god-given rights which were and are ignored by the government, just because I needed a relax life with no trouble, so I can’t talk too much in this matter. The only thing I can say is that I really esteem and praise these people who don’t accept cruelty which is currently implementing in all regions of Iran.

  I am here again to make comments about your this week show. I believe that you have worked on your farsi and I am happy to see the improvements. In regards to the discussion of the week, I was wondering whats with you and your so called Anti-Iran regime topics! I know that you want to have these discussion to hear other people opinion, but whats fasinating is that, you will go into some much depth with the problems in Iran! Seriously i am not sure how long you have been out of Iran, but some Iranian’s mostly young generation, doesn’t understand us. (The Iranians in the other side of the world). I have notice that when people pass Europe and get to North America, they seem to become different people.
  Bacheha tou Iran darand kareshoonoo jooloo mibarand, regardless of their problems they face due to the laws and standard.

  I don’t know if you had the chance to watch Ahmadinejad interview with Larry King, but if you did, what do you have to say about our president?
