Babak Amini (born April 1970 in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian musician and guitarist.
He was always amused by the world of music and his first experience of music was with his mentor and renounced teacher, Mr. Shahrokh Partovi. He began learning music and guitar at the age of 10 with the style of Flamenco. He then followed his ambition by studying from Simon Aivazian, who at that time was desperately seeking students to make a living.
He entered the professional world at the age of 18. His first album was introduced in 1990 and was called Gray Rain followed by Blue Rain. He then released his third album, Shadow of My Own, which had vocals based on poets such as Hafez, Molana, Baba Taher, and Nima.
In the midst of his last album, Googoosh, the diva of Iranian music, was introduced to him. She quickly grasped the opportunity to work with him on her own album, Zoroaster. He then was asked to compose, arrange and lead Googoosh’s orchestra for her tour around the world. While in tour, he decided to complete his solo album, ‘Magic’, in the US. This, however, proved Babak Amini’s lack of arrangement skills since many people compare his arrangements to those belonging to pre-revolution works. Babak is currently is leading Faramarz Aslani’s Band.

babak amini karesh fohgoladas.. sedaye shadiddannn ziba va garmi ham dare , man nemidonam chera nemikhone . hadde aghal yeki 2 ta music.. badam babak doste samimiye kaveh yaghmayi haste vale chera ba ham kar nemikonan? ye conserti chizii…

googoosh vaghti to iran googoosh shod ke adama estedadeshon kashf nemishod .googoosh baraye hamon doreh khob bod va bas ,
babak amini ya emsle on to donya matrah mishan va mimonan ,estedad daran va zahmat ham mikeshan .

An incredible person, with an amazing talent, producing and composing superb music. I am so glad that bebin chose to do another show on Babak Amini, and as I was unable to attend Babak Aminis performance at Baked Potato, I was exhilirated that this event was covered. I sincerely hope that Bebin will continue to follow up on Mr. Aminis shows and I for one will be anxiously waiting for it. Major props for both Bebin and Babak Amini

woooooooooow im so proud of babak i wish i could find hes albumes to listen and enjoy and proud of to be iranian
