City Talk(s) of the Week:
1) Did anyone see one or more of the movies on the Top 10 Countdown? If so, which do you recomment…or not!
2) Arash, Andy or Afshin? Which is your favorite singer…and why?
3) And of course, the last question of the week….why are so many Iranians so afraid to address questions that may be considered “political” or “siasy”!?

The Dark Knight

Salam Ladan,
1. Only seen “The Dark Night” but it was awesome!!!
2. I like Andy because he tries different music styles unlike Afshin and Arash.
3. I think most people are afraid to say the wrong thing or support the wrong people. Because nearly everyone supported Chomeini back in 1979 and he disappointed all of them. Nowadays everyone is afraid to choose the wrong side again and get abused if they fail.
(i hope my english was understandable)
greetings from Germany

i have been busy and have not had the chance to see too many movies this summer, however i did see the dark night and i thought it was the best movie that came out in the last few years!!
about the concert, i had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas last December for the first time, and catch couple of iranian concerts, one concerts i did go see was Arash after party at studio 54, i have been to many concerts in the US, my friends and i were blown away by his performance!! it was amazing and better then his concert actually!! i wish i had time to go his concert in LA but i am too busy these days!! His performance that night was the best i have seen, NO wonder he has a contract with Warner company.
last but not least, politics, i think people are tired of this CLOWN SHOW by IRI, and rather not talk about it any more, frankly it is not funny anymore and people rather not occupy themselves with politics now a days!!! Sad but true

No one is afraid to say if they are siasi or not, the matter comes when we iranians cannot respect each others views. Soobat kardane siasat tu jameh irani ya beh foosheh madar khahar mereseh, yah be davah.
Here in the US you can be a democrat or a republican, argue over candidates and policies and then go have biscuits and tea for brunch but in iranian politcs if you are Pro-IR or Pro-Monarch there is always something wrong with the other side and the only way you can convince them that you are right is by calling them “stupid, idiot, moron, brainwashed, spy, bache akhoond, etc”.
Just look at the blog for the previous city talk, yeh dookhtareh javoon nazaresho goft EVERYONE bashed on her. If you don’t agree thats fine, we agree to disagree, but instead of bashing on her and calling her stupid, mesleh adam rational dashtebash and counter her claims. It’s a very simple process for those who claim to be educated. A little respect goes a long way.
We iranians cannot bond anymore, recall 10, 15, 20 years ago here in the US and we iranians bonded like no other, pooshte hamdegaro dashteym but now look at us, we are enemies within and its all because of this so called siasat and our oghdieyness.

Tropic Thunder is very funny : )
I recomend it for sure ; )
Siyasat sucks.
Arash is smart, Andy is more popular and Afshin is very talented.
