City Guide: Shiraz

May 9th, 2008 · 6 Comments

The city of poets, flowers and nightingales! Shiraz is one of the oldest and beautiful cities of Iran with lots of attractions. For example the numerous gardens, (Eram, Qavam, Afif Abad …) the two resting places of great Persian poets, Saadi and Hafiz, the historical buildings associated with the Zand Dynasty, and much more. Although one can really appreciate the beauties of this city by seeing it live in person, you could still get a glimpse of its magical quality in this short video and also hear some interesting things about its history. In addition to Shiraz, the last segment covers the ancient cities of the Persian Empire, like Bishapur, Firouz Abad, Istakhr, and of course Pasargad and Persepolis which all are not too far from Shiraz. It took much time to research and edit this video and we hope that you enjoy watching it. Please do give your comments and forward the video’s link to those who might be interested. Thanks! Ali
