Imaan Faith

January 8th, 2008 · 9 Comments

“To Have Imaan Is To Have Faith.” Rapper Imaan Faith was only 13 years old when he began writing poems, which he soon turned into song and at 14, he had already recorded his first song! Writing has always been a way of release for Imaan Faith, a means to help him “cope with reality at times.” Staying true to his Iranian roots, Imaan Faith “keeps the Persian in his music” by maintaining an ethnic Middle Eastern flavor. He also keeps his music positive and free of eplicit and offensive lyrics. During his interview Imaan Faith states, “Being Middle Eastern and getting into the music business is hard, but it’s just like everything else.” Watch him talk exclusively to bebin.tv about his love and most importantly, his faith, during one of his recent music video shoots!

man, you will never be tupac, and he will never be you (alive) go learn a knowledge, a science, a real career, put your effort and energy in some thing that can pay off even when you are 50 or 60 yrs old, lets suppose that you get lucky and you make a hit with one song which I doubt that is happening to you but lets suppose it is the case, where are you going to be 5 yrs 10yrs from now? you wanna talk about what? you are a tough guy go to south of Tehran tirdogholou and see what they are going to do with you, you wanna show off some blingbling go and see P.Diddy 50 cents you cant even afford their dog’s jewelery. dont talk about being an artist because an art that can be performed by most of drugaddicts and inmates, it’s not an art, don’t lie to yourself.

I don’t want to sound pedantic or anything, but in Arabic Imaan actually means to “learn about faith” or to “learn about having faith”…. as a result you can have Imaan or be in a state of Imaan but not actually have faith, eg: Possibly Khayyam…

Wow!!! This guy is really good!!!! He found other words to rhyme with “block”!!
Now we have our own version of a Wigger, much respects Pigger…
All he’s missing is a set of grills. Maybe Flava Flav can hook him up if he keeps talkin Ebonics like dat.

But seriously, how do we get him to drop any association with Persians? Maybe he can pretend he’s Arab??

Thanks Bebin, this was by far one of your best comedy skits ever! I don’t know which one of you wrote this one, but it was fabulous! Incorportate this fictional character into an episode of the Office please.

It’s good to see a persian brotha step up and do what he loves, despite the racist and narrow minded views of most Iranians who will judge him because anything not associated with whiteness must be bad, he proves that our people are not all constrained by the dysfunctional thinking represented by the previous comments. Oh ya, I have my PhD and I went to two black colleges……..

Personally I love his music, its almost enlightening to see persians step up in the music industry, with everything there is going to be many haters and obviously being persian, negativity seems to run as a trait in our genes, none the less, look past your haters because you’re the one up there with BIG SYKE not them, also I don`t understand why everyone must sit down and analyze every bit of this to be extremely successful Persian artist, like mother always says, if you Do NOT have something nice to say DO NOT say it at all.

by the way, last time I checked Imaan Faith’s album was ranked # 6 in the Nelson Soundscan, so obviously there are a lot of people enjoying his positive music.

IN CONCLUSION BITCHES, don’t hate appreciate.
