Siasi Boodan

December 30th, 2007 · 5 Comments

Many feel that the term “Siasi Boodan” holds negative connotations and is bad. Therefore, if Iranians think or feel something is in any way “Siasi” they immediately stay away from it and don’t want to get involved! It seems as though in the Iranian community you can either be one or the other and there is no in between. It’s like saying you can only be happy or sad, but not both! Does that make sense? Do they even know what “Siasi Boodan” means? Mani decides to take up this matter with the Iranian community and find out what they think. Some all of a sudden become camera shy, others no longer want to talk, and a few let us know what they think. Isn’t everyone, in some way or another “siasi?”

I think everyone and everything is siasi, first of all people always complain about their government, thats criticizing the government which the job of the opposition and everything is control somehow through the government which makes it siasi, in another works political.

I think people who are not siasi are uninformed citizen or they don’t understand the meaning

WOW! I JUST WANT TO JUMP OFF A BRIDGE; when I see Iranians in the U.S military!! I have more respect for Mostafa Ghorbani “The Homeless” and Majid “The Heroine addict” than for any Iranian’s in the U.S military!!

Being “ Siasi “ in Farsi actually means being Active in politic, Or belonging to a political group ( left or right). And not just having some small idea’s.
We usually have opinion about lots of thing, does this makes us a “ Siasi “?
    I don’t think so.

In Iran when you say Siasi , Most of the times you mean what we think of our government.
The problem in Iran was and is : any ruling political group that gets the power(and becomes the government) treats any other idea’s our parties like a great enemy.

That is the reason why many of us don’t want to comment about being “ Siasi”.

A real “ Siasi ” wouldn’t leave his country to find a better live some where else.
He would fight for his idea’s and homeland.
    That is why , I say : I am not “ Siasi “
