One of the greatest rulers of the Achaemenid dynasty, who was noted for his administrative genius and for his great building projects. This short clip highlights some of Darius’s achievements during his 36 year rule.

    It was very good - it missed out one important event which was finishing the job of rebuilding the Jewish temple (as ordered by Cyrus). This was done as part of promoting cultures & religions inside the empire, and significant because personally he was a deeply religious Zoroastrian.

    I disagree. Jamshid was the greatest King. Even though he was fictional.
