After months of research I finally found an expert in the field of HIV/Aids, sexually transmitted diseases and the direct link with injecting drug users. I have always felt strongly about such social and health issues with a lot of stigma surrounding them in our culture. I thought it was time somebody addressed these topics, but it was important to ensure it is tackled with due care & attention.
It was crucial to me to speak to an expert in the field with hands-on experience, who would be able to tell the story with credible source of reference. Who better than Dr Kamiar Alaei. It’s an absolute honour to have met such a person. I promised to do anything in my power to help his future projects in these worthy causes.
